The First Tee of Brunswick County Golf Benefit
at Thistle Golf Club  

We are excited to invite you to participate in our third annual golf tournament, September 21, 2010, benefiting The First Tee of Brunswick County.   This year's event will again be kicked off with a golf clinic hosted by noted golf instructor and author, Nick Bradley and conclude with dinner hosted by Outback Steakhouse followed by our extensive raffle.  With our host facility Thistle Golf Club, the return of Nick Bradley and the addition of Outback Steakhouse, this event continues as "the premier golf benefit in the county."  

About The First Tee of Brunswick County

The First Tee of Brunswick County is a character education program utilizing the positive inherent values of the game; values like Honesty, Integrity, Judgment, and Perseverance.  Further, our Life Skills Curriculum seamlessly introduces participants to interpersonal skills, goal-setting skills, resistance skills and personal wellness.  Since we began formal programming in 2006, our local chapter has made the game accessible to over 1000 youngsters, and annually introduces the game and our Nine Core Values^TM to over 6,000 elementary aged students in all ten (10) of our local public schools. 

In 2009, we began a school day program that has become the Youth Character education curriculum for Brunswick County elementary schools.  The fall 2009 pilot exposed The First Tee life skills experience to fourth graders from six of our county schools.  When fully implemented, the program will reach grades three through six in all our county schools.  Interest from young people in the area has continued to increase, making this tournament even more critical to our financial success to support our ever growing programming needs.

Get involved

The price for this year's tournament will be $250.00 per player or $1000.00 per team.  The tournament format is a "shamble."  The event will conclude with full food and beverage service, awards ceremony, and a fabulous raffle with a variety of interesting items.
