The Mission of The First Tee of Brunswick County is to impact, influence and inspire the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development, life-enhancing values, and healthy choices through the game of golf and other character-building activities.

We sponsor programs in all 10 Elementary Schools in Brunswick County, in our facilities at Cinghiale Creek and at several Golf Courses in Brunswick County. Our programs are impacting the lives of more than 6,000 young participants each year. Using golf as the platform, our students learn about The First Tee Nine Core Values—Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Courtesy, Confidence, Respect, Responsibility, Judgment & Perseverance which are incorporated with essential life skills, such as conflict resolution, health & wellness, goal setting, and leadership. The experiences at the First Tee can be life changing for many at-risk youth in Brunswick County.

This summer, Ace participant Spencer Faircloth attended the Life Skills and Leadership Academy in Minnesota and along with fellow Ace participant Jackson Cole, will attend The John Deere Careers on Course Academy in October which introduces teen participants to various careers within the golf industry.  Cameryn Smith completed her freshman year at Queens University in Charlotte majoring in Sports Management. She is a member of the South Atlantic Conference and helped lead her team to win the 2016 SAC Championship. Dalton Gore graduated with honors from Mount Olive University and is now a PGA Professional working in Tampa, Florida. These are just a few examples of the success stories that your generosity makes possible.
